Matsushita to Launch World's Smallest 3-CCD Video Camera

Matsushita announced on September 15 it will launch the SDR-S100 digital video camera on October 15 in Japan, the smallest 3-CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) video camera in the world measuring 49.9mm by 96.7mm by 80.4mm and weighing 242 grams without the battery. The camera makes use of a 2Gb SD card instead of a motor, which is necessary for conventional video camera using magnetic tape. The SD card has the size of a postal stamp and can record for up to 100 minutes. The SDR-S100 will have a price of 130,000 Yen at its introduction.
